“Something about this combination felt like the beginning of a new chapter for me.” This is how composer Wally Gunn describes writing The Ascendant. In this concert you’ll hear this incredible work in its entirety with an eight-voice ensemble and drum kit. With this and several other pieces drawn from The Crossing’s monumental commissioning project – The Jeff Quartets – we experience incredibly vibrant and exciting choral textures and sounds. 

Composers include Wally Gunn, Gabriel Jackson, and Robert Convery.
A single 7:30 concert will be followed by a reception for the audience to meet the artists, as well as mingle and welcome each other.
